St. Louis Public Radio Reports on Winston Calvert's Appointment to Supreme Court Commission
St. Louis Public Radio reported that the Chief Justice of the Missouri Supreme Court appointed Winston Calvert to the Commission on Racial and Ethnic Fairness. In announcing the Commission appointments, Chief Justice Breckenridge explained, "We all need to do everything we can to ensure that every individual in every case in our system of justice is treated with respect and has his or her case adjudicated fairly and impartially according to the law."
Chief Justice Breckenridge asked Calvert to focus his efforts on municipal court reform. In the City of St. Louis, Calvert had led efforts to make the municipal court system fair to the poor and to people who do not speak English. He also helped to craft Community Court, an initiative that brought municipal court proceedings out to neighborhoods throughout the City.

Freeman, Sandra Hemphill, Levell D. Littleton, Annette Llewellyn, Susan McGraugh, Kimberly Norwood, Geetha Rao Sant, Booker T. Shaw, Annette Slack, Karen Tokarz, Lynn Ann Vogel and Michael L. Walton.
