The Riverfront Times quoted Winston Calvert on the victory in the marriage equality case:

"The city of St. Louis pushed the envelope on behalf of families throughout the state of Missouri who now can enjoy the dignity, stability and security of a legal marriage. The message to our children is unmistakable: No matter who you are, your city, your state and your courts will respect and protect your equality."
